WHY THE NEW HOUSE COUNTRY HOTEL IS A GREAT PLACE TO GET MARRIED
The New House Country Hotel is really peaceful and secluded and is one of the best places to get married in Cardiff. The venue offers an amazing atmosphere for a wedding – and there so many incredible backdrops that are perfect for photos.
Samantha and Christopher got married last summer at the awesome New House Country Hotel in Cardiff, South Wales in August 2014 what seemed like the hottest day ever! They had their ceremony at St Helens RC Church in Caerphilly, which was just a short drive away. It was the most beautiful wedding and the sun shone all day long!
Samantha got ready at her parent's house with her 2 sisters who were her bridesmaids and her brother. As usual, her dad taking forever to get ready posing for photos in his usual around-the-house attire with tie and jacket on. They then took a classic VW T2 Campervan in blue and white to get to the ceremony. Christopher got ready at home with his mates, then made their way down to the ceremony.
The ceremony was a church service in their local church. During the ceremony, they had several beautiful readings from friends and family. It was a beautiful way of involving everyone in the ceremony.
They decorated the area with lots of colour, which I loved. The reception was in a marquee at The New House Country Hotel – I love this venue because the light is gorgeous for portraits and candids. Weddings at The New House Country Hotel are amazing because the surroundings are just incredible.
The reception was in the New House Country Hotel in Cardiff. They chose the venue because it’s one of the best wedding venues near the church ceremony and it was just perfect. Wedding breakfast was served, and it was a stunning 3-course meal. Instead of having the first dance, they decided to have a Cèilidh band with the bridal party all taking part then opened up for other wedding guests to participate and a disco for the rest of the evening. For dinner, they had a BBQ, which was such a great idea. The best part of the day was dancing because it was so energetic and different even I took part.
Sam and Chris as I call them are family - they are my brother and sister-in-law! The asked me to shoot their wedding - although I’ve never done one before so this was a massive experience for me. They said they just wanted someone they know to capture their day and I think that made it easy for me knowing them. They are both VW campervan fanatics hence the campervan and cake topper, which eventually brushed off on me with getting my own campervan...thanks guys!
Samantha and Christopher’s wedding was so much fun and had such a chilled vibe. Here’s their awesome wedding!
